REVIEW: Bacchanal Buffet (from notes taken on June 7, 2021)

Located within Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip, a city known as one of the cities that never sleep. On March 17, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused lockdowns that affected numerous American institutions, from New York City to Los Angeles. Casinos and their associated buffets certainly didn’t avoid this shuttering. Most certainly in a usually popular tourist destination like Las Vegas. Many of the casinos went silent for months, and when they reopened, they opened sans buffet. Clark County didn’t reallow self-serve buffets to open until May 1, 2021. Once among the pride-and-joy of a casino, the buffets were reopened at a staggered pace. On May 20, 2021, the Bacchanal Buffet reopened.

We traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 7, 2021, just to experience the reopening of the Bacchanal Buffet. Considered to be one of the greatest buffets in the world, alongside The Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan and The Wynn Buffet. The Wicked Spoon had already been reopened, but The Wynn Buffet had yet to reopen. When we went, to celebrate their opening weeks, they had a wagyu steamship to celebrate their grand reopening.

Mario's review of the Bacchanal Buffet on June 7, 2021
The Bacchanal Buffet is often cited as one of the best buffets in the world, and that was certainly reflected in my experience. The AYCE buffet is my favorite restaurant type, and this is definitely one of my favorites in that category.

Loved the buffet and its aesthetic, but I usually like to usually eat at a buffet at lower prices, so this dinner pricing was way more than I prefer. But I'm a huge fan of steak, so the wagyu steamship was amazing. Was looking forward to the wagyu hot dogs, but we didn't receive any, we missed the carts that were handing them out.
